Ship visits

Many of our customers have previously found ship visits most helpful when first choosing to cruise with Voyages of Discovery.

If you would like to visit Discovery when she is in port at Portsmouth (26th May 2012) or Harwich (13th June and 12th July 2012), we would be delighted to welcome you aboard. You can take a tour of the ship to look at the styles of cabin and experience life on board. You will need to arrive at the port at approximately 10am to take the self-guided tour of the ship, lasting about two hours, followed by a light lunch on board.

There is a cost of £20.00 per person for the day, which is refundable if you subsequently make a cruise booking. Parking at the port is available in the port’s public car park, at a small cost to yourself.

Please do not send any payment now – once we have checked the availability on the dates you have given we will contact you with a booking form and further details. Places are limited and will be restricted to those who have not cruised on Discovery before.

• We plan our ship visits some months in advance and sometimes it is necessary to cancel the visit, or to make changes at short notice, usually for operational reasons, for example bad weather. We cannot be held liable for any costs incurred in any of these circumstances. We shall try to reschedule the visit and in the unlikely event that this is not possible or the alternative date is not convenient to you we shall provide you with a full refund of the amount paid.
