India will prove to be a highly popular destination among British travellers in the next year, it has been reported.According to Lynsey Devon, activity sector public relations manager at travel operator TUI Travel, the sub-continent is one of a number of 'value for money' destinations likely to attract a high number of visitors.
She suggested that the culture of the country is of interest to visitors from overseas, stating that many "want to know everything about it".
Ms Devon said the internet has changed the way people approach holidays, as it makes it much easier for them to investigate the attractions they may wish to see experience in any particular location.
A number of coastal resorts in India have great appeal for cruise passengers, including Chennai, Mumbai, Goa and Porbandar.
