16 November 2007 - VOYAGES OF DISCOVERY VOTED FAVOURITE NICHE CRUISE LINE

Voyages of Discovery has scooped ‘Favourite Niche Cruise Line’ at the annual British Travel Awards. Announced at the prestigious ceremony, which is held post-WTM at the Battersea Marquee in London, the award was voted for by the travelling public.

Says David Yellow, Managing Director: “We’re delighted that the travelling public has recognised the originality and creativity of our ‘discovery’ brand of cruising. Our continued success is earned by listening to customers and constantly striving to offer a diverse range of voyages to off-the-beaten-track destinations, all of which are enriched by our excellent programme of informal talks onboard. Our winter 2008/9 programme reflects our regular passenger’s requests for additional destinations, with exciting new ports of call in South Africa and the Indian Ocean.”

The niche cruising specialist, based in Burgess Hill, is a market leader in discovery cruising. The 650-berth Discovery offers all of today’s modern, expected comforts within a sleek exterior that is small enough to reach out-of-the-way ports but large enough to make light work of crossing the great oceans.

Authoritative guest speakers and a comprehensive shore excursion programme allow passengers to discover the culture and history of worldwide destinations that include Antarctica, South and Central America and the South Pacific.
