We are unable to accept 'conditional bookings'. Please note any special requests clearly on your Booking Form and we will try to comply with your wishes. We must point out that failure to fulfil a special request cannot be considered a breach of Contract on the part of the company.

CHANGE OF ADDRESS

We particularly ask you to tell us in writing of any alterations to your address before departure, and in any communication, please state the cruise on which you are travelling.

DATA PROTECTION ACT 1998

Information supplied by you on the Booking Form or otherwise will be held by Voyages of Discovery in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998. It will be used for bookings, reservations, invoicing, ticket issue, the provision of manifests for you to gain entry to countries visited on the cruise, and marketing. If you wish to have a copy of the personal information held about you, Voyages of Discovery will supply this upon receipt of a written request accompanied by a fee of £10.

CHANGES TO YOUR CRUISE

The information in this brochure outlines details of our carefully planned programme. Should any subsequent events cause us to change our plans or affect the published itinerary in any way, we shall let passengers know. However, in the event of war or threat of war, political unrest, terrorist activity, nuclear disaster or other similar events, we maintain the unreserved right to cancel, postpone or alter without prior consultation, any itinerary in whole or in part, in order to safeguard passengers, ship and employees. OVERSEAS STANDARDS

It is a fact of life that when we travel to different countries, we often find that the customs, traditions and general pace at which things are done can often be very different from what we are used to in the UK. So as far as standards of safety are concerned, the suppliers of services must comply with the rules and regulations of their own country and these are not always as strict as they are in the UK.

DANGEROUS GOODS

We direct your attention to the fact that it is an offence to carry on board aircraft or ship any goods of a dangerous or damaging nature. Remember that petrol and other lighter or curler fluids come under the terms of the Explosives Act; their inclusion in heavy baggage is strictly prohibited.

GRATUITIES AND SERVICE CHARGES

Gratuities and service charges are included within the prices shown for Voyages of Discovery. Other cruise lines add charges to their booking fares or to their on board account for their passengers convenience. Passengers on these cruise lines can adjust these charges at their sole discretion subject to each relevant cruise lines terms and conditions. At time of publication of this brochure, Oceania Cruises add $12.5 per guest, per day automatically to their shipboard accounts. Oceania Cruises also automatically add 18% service charge to bills for drinks, spa treatments etc. A dollar exchange rate of 1.65 has been used in translating these charges in to sterling amounts.

The information contained in this website is checked for accuracy by our UK staff, our overseas staff and our agents. Nevertheless, we would ask you to bear in mind that things can change and often these things can happen without our prior knowledge. However, should we become aware of any long term or permanent change which it is considered would have a permanent effect upon your enjoyment of the cruise, we will do our utmost to advise you.
