TRIESTE, ITALY - 18TH AUGUST (OVERNIGHT) - 19TH AUGUST 10:00PM
trieste.jpg

Perched on the edge of north-east Italy, sandwiched between the Adriatic Sea and Slovenia, Trieste showcases its past grandeur amongst elaborate Neoclassical architecture. An overnight stay in this new port for Voyager gives plenty of time to discover its Roman amphitheatre or perhaps head to the UNESCO-listed Roman town of Aquileia with its 4th century basilica and superb mosaics.

VENICE, ITALY - 20TH AUGUST 6:00AM - 8:00PM
venice.jpg

Soak up the splendour of one of the world’s most extraordinary cities with a day in Venice - the ‘Queen of the Adriatic’. Stroll through St Mark’s Square to marvel at the Doge’s Palace and the Basilica di San Marco, take a walk over the Rialto Bridge, and watch the gondolas on the Grand Canal as they glide through the city’s maze of canals. Perhaps take a boat trip to Murano and Torcello, two of the islands in the Venetian Lagoon.

RIJEKA, CROATIA - 21ST AUGUST 8:30AM - 6:00PM
rijeka.jpg

Your gateway to the beautiful beaches and stunning scenery of the Opatija Riviera, Rijeka is Croatia’s busiest port. Head to its centre to see fine examples of Austro-Hungarian architecture and ascend the steep hill of Trsat to discover an imposing castle and the Church of Our Lady, which houses an icon of Mary said to have been painted by St Luke.

SPLIT, CROATIA - 22ND AUGUST 8:00AM - 7:00PM
split.jpg

The largest city on the Dalmatian coast, step ashore in Split to discover the Palace of Diocletian, an imposing Roman ruin which isn’t a palace at all, but the city’s beating heart. This vast complex covers a huge area and is home to more than 200 buildings including the sunken Roman Plaza and the Cathedral of St Domnius.

DUBROVNIK, CROATIA - 23RD AUGUST 7:00AM - 10:00PM
dubrovnik.jpg

Step ashore in delightful Dubrovnik, whose many treasures are enveloped by 13th century city walls. Take a stroll along the marble-paved Stradun, stopping off to admire Onofrio’s Fountain, the Franciscan Monastery, Sponza Palace, Dubrovnik’s baroque cathedral and the Rector’s Palace, which houses a fascinating museum. For further exceptional views, take the cable car to the top of Mount Srd.

KOTOR, MONTENEGRO - 24TH AUGUST 7:00AM - 8:00PM
kotor.jpg

Enjoy the stunning scenery as Voyager cruises through Kotor Bay - one of the most beautiful in the world. Ashore, discover this well-preserved medieval town, which is a UNESCO-listed maze of cobbled streets, tiny squares and ancient churches. Evidence of more than 300 years of Venetian rule

AT SEA 25TH AUGUST
ZAKYNTHOS, GREECE - 26TH AUGUST 7:00AM - 7:00PM
zakynthos.jpg

Voyager makes a maiden call to the rugged and beautiful Greek island of Zakynthos, the most southerly of the Ionian chain. Step ashore in the modern capital of Zakynthos Town to enjoy sun-soaked beaches and azure waters. Most of the town was rebuilt after an earthquake in 1953, but some ancient buildings remain, including St Dionysios Church. Head inland to discover the Venetian Castle or perhaps take a boat trip to the Blue Caves, surrounded by turquoise waters.

KALAMATA, GREECE - 27TH AUGUST 7:00AM - 2:30PM
kalamata.jpg

Sandy beaches, forest-covered mountains and fertile valleys abound in Messinia’s capital, but Kalamata is perhaps best known for the prized olives to which it gives its name. The centre is filled with interesting museums and the ancient city of Messene is right on your doorstep.

MILOS, GREECE - 28TH AUGUST 8:00AM - 9:00PM
milos.jpg

Milos is known as the ‘island of colours’ due to the variety of shades found in its volcanic landscape. Now residing in the Louvre Museum, in Paris, the Venus de Milo was discovered here in 1820. Perhaps venture to the archaeological site of Filakopi, a settlement dating back to the Neolithic period, or enjoy a stroll through the streets of Plaka, the island’s charming capital.

MYKONOS, GREECE - 29TH AUGUST 6:00AM - 8:00PM
mykonos.jpg

Whitewashed houses, blue-domed churches and charming windmills built by the Venetians in the 16th century dot the landscape on the island of Mykonos. Quintessentially Greek yet vibrantly cosmopolitan, it’s just a few miles from the island of Delos, the legendary birthplace of Artemis and Apollo.

PIRAEUS (ATHENS), GREECE - 30TH AUGUST 8:00AM (OVERNIGHT) - 31ST AUGUST
athens.jpg

Voyager’s final port of call is Piraeus, your gateway to Athens - the oldest city in Europe. An overnight in port gives you plenty of time to discover highlights including the iconic Acropolis, which looms over the city, and the archaeological findings on display at the New Acropolis Museum.

Voyages of Discovery provide all of our passengers with detailed descriptions of all their excursions ahead of their cruise. They will all be available to Pre Book and a Cruise Booklet will be sent to you 3 months ahead of your sailing date
