TENERIFE, CANARY ISLANDS - 17TH NOVEMBER (OVERNIGHT) - 18TH NOVEMBER 10:00PM
tenerife-teide.jpg

The popular holiday island of Tenerife is the largest of the seven Canary Islands. Here, Mount Teide National Park is home to Spain’s highest mountain, which soars more than 12,000 feet into the sky, offering spectacular views of Gran Canaria, La Palma, La Gomera and El Hierro. UNESCO-listed La Laguna, the island’s first capital and today still considered its cultural heart, showcases outstanding architectural monuments, palaces and traditional houses from the 17th and 18th centuries.

GRAN CANARIA, CANARY ISLANDS - 19TH NOVEMBER 7:00AM - 6:00PM
gran-canaria-las-palmas.jpg

A diverse landscape of mountains, lush forest, Sahara-like dunes and sandy beaches make up the picturesque isle of Gran Canaria. Its bustling capital Las Palmas boasts a fascinating cultural heritage, with highlights including the House of Columbus, where Christopher Columbus reputedly stayed in 1492 while repairs were made to one of his ships. Nearby is the town of Teror, where you can see typical Canarian architecture and step inside the 18th century Basilica de Nuestra Senora del Pino, dedicated to the island’s patron saint.

FUERTEVENTURA, CANARY ISLANDS - 20TH NOVEMBER 8:00AM - 5:00PM
fuerteventura.jpg

With more than 150 beaches to choose from and year-round sunshine, it’s no surprise that Fuerteventura is a popular holiday hotspot. Its ancient capital Betancuria is one of the most important colonial landmarks in all the Canary Islands. Founded in 1404 this inland village, almost hidden away amongst the folds of the surrounding mountains, acted as a defence against pirate attacks. Today, this picturesque spot plays host to a beautiful white-walled cathedral and a clutch of small museums.

LANZAROTE, CANARY ISLANDS - 20TH NOVEMBER 10:00PM (OVERNIGHT) - 21ST NOVEMBER 7:00PM
lanzarote.jpg (1)

Step ashore in Lanzarote, home to the spectacular Timanfaya National Park - a Martian-like landscape entirely made up of volcanic soil and dormant volcanoes. Explore the island’s capital Arrecife, birthplace of the renowned artist Cesar Manrique, take a stroll along the lovely seafront promenade or discover an impressive castle originally built to ward off pirates.

AT SEA 22ND NOVEMBER
FUNCHAL, MADEIRA - 23RD NOVEMBER 7:00AM (OVERNIGHT) - 24TH NOVEMBER 1:00PM

LA PALMA, CANARY ISLANDS - 25TH NOVEMBER 1:00PM (OVERNIGHT) - 26TH NOVEMBER 10:00PM
palma-majorca.jpg

The greenest of the Canary Islands, La Palma has also been declared a World Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO. Its elegant capital, Santa Cruz de la Palma, displays colourful, balconied houses, cobbled streets and pretty churches, while the Caldera de Taburiente National Park boasts an unspoilt landscape. Pine forests, cascading waterfalls and walking trails abound, with the Roque de los Muchachos its highest point.

LA GOMERA, CANARY ISLANDS - 27TH NOVEMBER 7:00AM - 11:00PM
gomera.jpg

Tiny La Gomera is a precipitous island of rugged rocks, towering cliffs and terraced hillsides crammed with banana and palm plantations. Venture into Garajonay National Park or there may be an opportunity to spot whales as the shores around the island attract these graceful sea mammals in large numbers.

EL HIERRO, CANARY ISLANDS - 28TH NOVEMBER 7:00AM - 5:00PM
el-hierro.jpg

Even smaller than La Gomera and the youngest Canary Island, El Hierro is your final port of call. Highlights of this UNESCO-listed World Biosphere Reserve include protected woodlands and La Restinga Marine Reserve, where underwater cliffs, sandy platforms and caves play host to a huge variety of marine life.

TENERIFE, CANARY ISLANDS - 29TH NOVEMBER 7:00AM
