COLOMBO, SRI LANKA - 3rd March (overnight) - 4th March 6PM
Buddhist-Temple-Colombo-14.jpg

The small island of Sri Lanka has it all – from sun-drenched beaches and rolling tea plantations to glittering temples and ancient ruins. A city of contrasts, Colombo is its bustling capital, where one moment you’ll be gazing at grand colonial mansions and the next browsing the wares spread on the floor before you at hectic flea markets. Admire the beautiful architecture of the Old Parliament Building or join the many devotees who flock to the Ponnambalam Vanesar Kovil – a colourful temple carved out of granite.

AT SEA 5th March
MALE, MALDIVES - 6th March 7AM - 7th March 6AM
male-maldieves.jpg

After a day cruising the Indian Ocean, Voyager arrives at the Maldives – an idyllic island nation comprising 26 coral atolls and nearly 2,000 stunning islands. This is the ultimate beach destination, where whiter-than-white sand and glistening azure waters teeming with exotic marine life offer scenes of picture-postcard perfection. Drift away from the beach to discover monuments to Male’s proud history – maybe choose to start with the Sultan’s Palace or Hukuru Miskiy Mosque.

KUDA BANDOS, MALDIVES - 7th March 7AM - 2:30PM
kuda-bandos.jpg

A stone’s throw from the island of Bandos is Kuda Bandos, or ‘small’ Bandos, a secluded and uninhabited paradise. Snorkel in the crystal-clear waters, laze on the idyllic beaches or perhaps head inland to its lush green heart, where sightings of exotic birds and colourful reptiles could be your reward.

AT SEA 8th March - 10th March
PORT VICTORIA, SEYCHELLES - 11th March 8AM - 12th March 6PM
victoria-seyshelles.jpg

After a relaxing cruise on the Indian Ocean you’ll arrive in the beautiful Seychelles. Few capitals can claim a more stunning backdrop than Port Victoria on Mahe, which is ringed by lofty mountains and home to some of the best beaches in the Seychelles. The largest of this 115-island archipelago and the most populous, it’s a great place to mingle with the locals. As you stay overnight, you’ve time to relax on the beach and explore – the cathedral, Government House and Botanical Gardens are notable highlights.

PRASLIN, SEYCHELLES - 12th March 9PM - 13th March 7:30PM
praslin-seychelles.jpg

Another of the Seychelles’ dream destinations is Praslin, where you’ll no doubt adopt the islanders’ slow pace of life. Explorers will head to the UNESCO-listed Vellee de Mai, with its unique, coveted coco de mer palms and many other rare species of plants.

LA DIGUE, SEYCHELLES - 13th March 9PM - 14th March 1PM
la-digue-seychelles.jpg

Praslin’s tiny neighbour, the island of La Digue is no more than four square miles in size. After an overnight in port, revisit days gone by at a plantation house, enjoy a sedate catamaran cruise or laze on beaches where rock formations add a touch of drama to the white sands and turquoise waters.

AT SEA 15th March - 16th March
PORT LOUIS, MAURITIUS - 17th March 8:30AM - 18th March
port-louis-maldives.jpg

There’s a marvellous mix of African, Indian, European and Oriental influences in culturally diverse Port Louis. Mauritius’ capital was first colonised by the Dutch in 1638, then populated over the next few centuries by traders, merchants and planters and their slaves. Discover the tea and marvel at the flora and fauna of Pamplemousses Botanical Gardens. Visa for Sri Lanka must be arranged prior to travel. Your outbound flight will be overnight departing on 2 Mar

Voyages of Discovery provide all of our passengers with detailed descriptions of all their excursions ahead of their cruise. They will all be available to Pre Book and a Cruise Booklet will be sent to you 3 months ahead of your sailing date

In Old Delhi admire the spectacular Red Fort and the impressive marble domes of Jama Masjid Mosque, and see Raj Ghat, the simple memorial to Mahatma Gandhi. En route to Jaipur, the city painted pink by Maharaja’s decree, a stop will be made at the deserted city of Fatehpur Sikiri, built to celebrate the birth of Emperor Akbar’s son but destined to become a ghost town overnight. In Agra, stroll through the chambers of the red sandstone Agra Fort and catch a glimpse of the incredible Taj Mahal. Your visit to this shimmering white-marble architectural wonder set in classical gardens is an undoubted highlight of this cruise extension.
