AT SEA 1ST JUNE
PORT OF TYNE, ENGLAND - 2ND JUNE 8:00AM - 6:00PM
hadrians-wall-port-of-tyne.jpg

One of the UK’s major deep sea ports, Port of Tyne has been a vital trading gateway since Roman times. Why not follow in Roman footsteps across rugged Northumberland hills to Hadrian’s Wall, built to defend the land around AD 122, and now one of northern England’s most popular attractions. Close by is the city of Durham, whose magnificent cathedral is renowned for its Romanesque architecture. Don’t miss the stunning Rose Window in the Chapel of Nine Altars and the medieval cloister.

AT SEA 3RD JUNE
TORSHAVN, FAROE ISLANDS - 4TH JUNE 8:00AM - 6:00PM
torshavn.jpg

Voyager calls at the Faroe Islands, 18 emeraldgreen isles afloat in the North Atlantic, where you can step ashore in the world’s smallest capital to experience the charm of Torshavn. Founded in the 10th century and named after Thor - the god of thunder and lightning in Norse mythology - this Viking settlement has at its heart a maze of narrow lanes and a cluster of red-painted stone and timber buildings

AT SEA 5TH JUNE
AKUREYRI, ICELAND - 6TH JUNE 8:00AM - 5:00PM
akureyri.jpg

Enjoy stunning vistas as Voyager sails towards Akureyri. This unique town is nestled at the top of Iceland’s longest and most spectacular fjord - Eyjafjordur. Ashore you can admire the drama of volcanic craters, lava lakes, active geothermal fields and cascading waterfalls. If you decide to take to the waters, a whalewatching trip is an exciting experience.

ISAFJORDUR, ICELAND - 7TH JUNE 7:00AM - 5:00PM
isafjordur.jpg

This isolated town on the edge of the Arctic is surrounded by steep mountains. One of Iceland’s most important fishing and trading centres, head into the old town to discover well-preserved buildings, largely unchanged since the 18th century. Nature-lovers may wish to take a boat trip to neighbouring Vigur - known as Paradise Island, this is home to several species of birds including puffins, eider ducks, Arctic terns and black guillemot.

REYKJAVIK, ICELAND - 8TH JUNE 7.30AM - 7:00PM
reykjavik.jpg

Iceland’s first settler, Viking Ingolfur Arnarson, built his farmstead in AD 874. He named it Reykjavik, meaning Smoky Bay, after the steam he saw rise from the geothermal springs in what is now the heart of the country’s vibrant capital. For a window on Iceland’s incredible natural wonders explore the Golden Circle, where sites include the UNESCO-listed Thingvellir National Park, the point where Europe meets America at the continental divide.

HEIMAEY, ICELAND - 9TH JUNE 8:00AM - 5:30PM
heimaey.jpg

Made up of 16 islands and 30 tiny islets, the Westman Islands archipelago was formed by underwater volcanic eruptions. Heimaey, the only permanently populated island, is just four miles long, making exploration easy. Home to a multitude of sea birds, look out for puffins - these charismatic birds favour steep cliffs as their breeding grounds, from where they plunge into the sea to catch fish for their young.

AT SEA 10TH - 11TH JUNE
LIVERPOOL, ENGLAND - 12TH JUNE 8:00AM - 6:00PM
liverpool.jpg

Boasting a UNESCO-listed waterfront and a rich maritime history, Liverpool was one of the world’s great ports. Step ashore to discover the famous Albert Dock, where attractions such as Tate Liverpool and the Merseyside Maritime Museum reside, and admire the city’s iconic Three Graces. Reflecting the city’s shipping success, the Royal Liver Building, the Cunard Building and the former offices of the Mersey Docks and Harbour Board overlook the River Mersey.

AT SEA 13TH JUNE
PORTSMOUTH, ENGLAND - 14TH JUNE 8:00AM
