DUBAI, UAE - 15TH FEBRUARY (OVERNIGHT) - 16TH FEBRUARY 8:00PM
dubai-burj-khalifa.jpg

Located on the southeast coast of the Persian Gulf, Dubai is the most populous city in the United Arab Emirates. This ultra-modern metropolis is famous for its Jumeirah Palm Island development – the self-declared Eighth Wonder of the World – and the Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest man-made tower. Sitting side by side with these architectural record-breakers are traditional souks and white-sand beaches, so step ashore to explore and soak up the year-round sunshine.

KHASAB, OMAN - 17TH FEBRUARY 7:00AM - 2:00PM
khasab-fort-oman.jpg

With a dramatic coastline and abundance of spectacular, steep-sided fjords, Oman’s Musandam Peninsula is called the ‘Norway of Arabia’. Lose yourself in the beauty of this remote region, which offers the most stunning scenery in the Gulf. Khasab, the lively little main town of the province, along with the ancient town of Bukha, offer centuries-old forts and a compelling glimpse into the essence of Arabia.

MUSCAT, OMAN - 18TH FEBRUARY 8:00AM - 5:00PM
muscat-sultan-qaboos-grand-mosque.jpg

Step ashore in magical Muscat – a city boasting an ancient history and a rich Islamic heritage that is evident in its ancient fortifications and Arabesque buildings. The Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque is a superb example of modern Islamic architecture, often described as Oman’s crowning glory. Its courtyard of symmetrical white stone archways is a photographer’s dream, as is its magnificent chandelier, which weighs eight tonnes and glimmers with 600,000 Swarovski crystals. Perhaps head to the crowded lanes of an ancient souk - those in Oman are among the oldest marketplaces in the Arab world.

AT SEA 19TH FEBRUARY
SALALAH, OMAN - 20TH FEBRUARY 12:30PM - 7:00PM
salalah-frankincense.jpg

The largest city in the Dhofar province, Salalah lies on the Frankincense Trail. The resin that comes from the Boswellia tree has been an important commodity to the people of the ‘Perfume City’ for centuries, at its peak its value rivalling that of gold or precious gems.

AT SEA 21ST FEBRUARY - 24TH FEBRUARY
SAFAGA, EGYPT - 25TH FEBRUARY 10:00PM (OVERNIGHT) - 26TH FEBRUARY 11:00PM
safaga-luxor-valley-of-kings.jpg

The port of Safaga affords you access to Upper Egypt and the country’s lifeline since ancient times, the legendary River Nile. You could choose to take a cruise on its calm waters or perhaps head to Luxor. This is the mesmerising ‘Land of the Pharaohs’, where you’ll discover the once-hidden Valley of the Kings. Here the tombs of more than 60 Pharaohs, including boy king Tutankhamun, lay preserved deep underground in a stunning showcase of Ancient Egypt’s tremendous history.

AT SEA 27TH FEBRUARY
SUEZ CANAL TRANSIT, EGYPT - 28TH FEBRUARY
suez-canal-egypt.jpg

Voyager transits the Suez Canal. Linking the Mediterranean and the Red seas, this is one of the world’s most important trade links.

AT SEA 1ST MARCH
HERAKLION (CRETE), GREECE - 2ND MARCH 7:00AM - 6:00PM
heraklion-crete-knossos.jpg

Crete’s capital Heraklion is your gateway to the fascinating Minoan Palace of Knossos. Greece’s largest island is a delight to explore, from its gorgeous beaches and impressive mountain landscapes to fertile valleys and dramatic gorges. According to Greek Mythology, Mount Ida ‘Mountain of the Goddess’ hosts the Ideon Cave, the birthplace of the mighty Zeus. Why not head off on a day of exploration or take in splendid views of the sea and the Old Town’s fortified walls from Heraklion’s picturesque Venetian harbour.

PIRAEUS (ATHENS), GREECE - 3RD MARCH 8:00AM (OVERNIGHT) - 4TH MARCH
piraeus-athens-acropolis.jpg

From Piraeus you can discover Athens. In this cosmopolitan yet hugely historic city you’ll find the Acropolis, a magnificent citadel towering over Europe’s oldest city from atop a rocky outcrop.

Voyages of Discovery provide all of our passengers with detailed descriptions of all their excursions ahead of their cruise. They will all be available to Pre Book and a Cruise Booklet will be sent to you 3 months ahead of your sailing date
